A new way of delivering children and young people’s mental health care: comment on our plan.
Health and care services in Birmingham and Solihull have been working together to improve mental health care for children and young people in our area and are now calling for comments on their proposed plans.
Services have listened to feedback from children, young people and their parents and carers, as well as staff and others involved in children and young people’s mental health care across Birmingham and Solihull – this feedback has shaped the plan for the way we will deliver our services in future.
The purpose of the new way of working is to improve access to mental health services with care closer to home across Birmingham and Solihull, provide increased support and address health inequalities that exist.
There is a detailed version of the plans, a simplified summary and an audio version (click on the speaker symbol on each page to hear audio) - they all describe how services will be provided in future.
We would welcome comments from anyone with a personal or professional interest in children and young people’s mental health services – you could be a young person with experience of services, a parent or a health or care professional working within mental health services.
You are invited to comment on the proposed new way of delivering services by 5pm on Friday 22 November 2024.
Your comments matter to us and will help us shape the future for how we will deliver mental health care for children and young people.
