Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System’s engagement with people, including professionals, providers, people with lived experience and parent/carers is now closed.
Our engagement on the draft visions for learning disabilities and autism and the proposed priorities included face-to-face meetings across Birmingham and Solihull, virtual events, and we also provided an opportunity for people to share their views by completing a either an online or printed survey.
We are now collating all the feedback we received from our engagement, which we will publish in May of this year which will help us as partners to prioritise our resources and to co-ordinate our approach to improve the support for people with a learning disability and/or autistic people in Birmingham and Solihull.
We would like to thank everyone who made the time to contribute and share your views in relation to both the draft visions and the proposed priorities. We have listened to and heard your invaluable and resounding views which will inform the finalisation of the visions, priorities and the co-production of delivery plans in Birmingham and Solihull. The timetable for these next steps will be shared with you alongside the engagement report in May.
Thank you again for your participation.
Have your say on our strategic visions for learning disabilities and autism.
Working with our partners in Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System, we will create a consistent vision, across health and social care, to help us to focus on the ways we can collectively support people with learning disabilities and autism, as well as their families and carers, and we want you to be involved.
Creating a consistent vision for learning disabilities and autism support will help us, and our partners, to prioritise our resources and to co-ordinate our approach to improve the support, as well as health and care outcomes, for people with learning disabilities and autism.
Our goal is to improve opportunities for people with learning disabilities, autism and their families and carers in Birmingham and Solihull. As we move towards our goal, we have worked closely with people with lived experience and our partners to develop draft visions for learning disabilities and autism, to ensure those visions reflect the lives and aspirations of our local people.
We would like the public, as well as health and social care professionals, of Birmingham and Solihull to help us finalise our vision, which will then help shape our delivery plans in Birmingham and Solihull.
